ABOUT ME

I vividly recall my guitar teacher's words when, at the age of 13, I approached him with the intention of turning my high-quality spruce acoustic guitar into a highly-performing instrument.
He told me how guitar craftsmanship could profoundly affect playability and sound, thus introducing me to the intricate and captivating world of lutherie.
Inseparable from my guitar, I soon found myself drawn to artisanal production techniques.
A guitar sounds a certain way if it's built in a certain manner.

Under the guidance of Maestros Tiziano Rizzi and Lorenzo Lippi at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan, I learned not only techniques and methods but, above all, a style that allows me to work professionally and philologically, earning appreciation from numerous clients in Italy and around the world.
From 2016 to 2019, I had the pleasure of teaching at the same school (instrument building and technical drawing), passing on the knowledge I had gained to the new talents of Italian lutherie and sharing the lessons I had received.

I have repaired and restored hundreds of guitars and mandolins. Fixing malfunctioning objects and tools impassions me.
It's wonderful to restore voiced works of art  to their former glory, like in 2017, when I was contacted by the Museum of St. Cecilia in Edinburgh for the restoration of a precious 1826 Lacote decacorde guitar.

However, it is in the construction where I have found my utmost professional fulfillment.
Selecting, listening to, and shaping the wooden essences that create the sound of my instruments are the operations that ensure the uniqueness and quality of the product. I often compare the construction of a guitar or mandolin to the work of a skilled tailor: starting with a model that I know my client likes, I transform it into a custom-made instrument, just like a bespoke suit that must fit perfectly and allow the wearer to express themselves to the fullest.

With my instruments, both acoustic and classical guitars, I participate in specific industry fairs in Italy, Europe, and around the world, offering my craftsmanship, the result of an ongoing learning process.
